Sunderdhunga Valley

Sunderdhunga means the valley of beautiful stones. The valley is situated to the west of Pindari valley. Maiktoli & Skhram are two Glaciers, and the main peaks are Tharkot (6100m), Mrigthuni (6856m), Maiktoli (6804) and Pawalidwar (6663m). The route to Sunderdhunga is the same up to Khati as in the trek to Pindari and Kafni.

Itinerary:

Day 1   :          Arrive Delhi. Check in at hotel. Overnight train to kathgodam
Day 2   :          Kathgodam – Loharkhet                      (Night halt)
Day 3   :          Loharkhet – Dhakuri (2681m)              (Night halt)      ….. 11 km trek
Day 4   :          Dhakuri – Jatoli (2440m)                      (Night halt)      ….. 13 km trek
Day 5   :          Jatoli – Kathaliya                                  (Night halt)      ….. 13 km trek
Day 6   :          Kathaliya – Sunuderdhunga – Kathaliya (Night halt)            ….. 14 km trek
Day 7   :          Kathaliya – Jatoli                                  (Night halt)      ….. 13 km trek
Day 8   :          Jatoli – Dhakuri                                     (Night halt)      ….. 14 km trek
Day 9   :          Dhakuri – Loharkhet – Almora (Night halt)      ….. 10 km trek to Loharkhet
Day 10 :          Almora to Kathgodam railway station. Overnight train to delhi.
Day 11 :          Arrive Delhi. Check in at hotel. Departure to your destination
